Military Service
Darin was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army in 1988. Epps attended airborne training in Ft. Benning in Columbus, GA, He earned his airborne wings in the summer of 1987,
His first duty station was at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Tx. In 1989, Lt. Epps was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division in FT. Hood, TX. Epps was a platoon leader in the 4/5 Air Defense Artillery Battery.
In 1990. Lt. Epps was assigned to Southwest Asia for Operation Desert Shield/ Operation Desert Storm. Darin Epps excelled immediately as a Platoon Leader in Operation Desert Storm. Darin Epps was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valor in combat.
Lt. Epps was promoted to Company Executive Officer in 1991. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1992.

1987: Graduated Airborne School
1988: Become Batallion Commander the highest ranking cadet at FMC ROTC
